Patients with plexiform neurofibromas (PN) associated with neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF1) experience considerable morbidity, a poor quality of life, and increased mortality. Research efforts have led to earlier diagnosis, new monitoring approaches, emerging treatment options, and considerations for surgical intervention. 

In this video presentation, Dr Armstrong uses a case-based discussion to address the heterogeneity and complexity of this condition as well as considerations for the use of emerging therapies when making individualized management decisions among diverse patients.
