PrEP: Better Choices for Better HIV Prevention
Certified AMA/ANCC/ACPE Activity - Lecture Library
Pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) provides safe and robust protection again HIV infection in a diversity of populations at risk. In addition, PrEP when used in combination with other approaches has led to reductions in population-level HIV incidence at regional and city levels. This activity will discuss the impact of PrEP on ending the HIV epidemic, benefits and limitations of new and future PrEP options, and strategies to improve sustainable implementation of PrEP.
